WhatsApp is working on a range of new features for Android, Apple iOS, Windows, and web users. These features have been spotted by WABetaInfo, the website that tracks forthcoming features and changes in WhatsApp. While some of these features were formerly available to users enrolled in the WhatsApp beta program, references for some features have been spotted in beta updates. Here's a list of WhatsApp features that you may be suitable to use soon. #TWN

The importance of WhatsApp in our lives cannot be expressed with words. I don’t think any messaging app available in the market can ever replace WhatsApp. There’s a reason why WhatsApp is so popular among the masses; its user-friendly design, emojis, end-to-end encryption, WhatsApp groups, etc., and looking at the success of these features, Meta has decided to roll out new features for WhatsApp. You must have noticed that the frequency of rolling out new features has increased in recent years. Today, we will take a look at the upcoming features of WhatsApp and what all benefits we will witness with these features.

WhatsApp Polls Feature

Polls are a very popular feature on apps like Instagram and Telegram, but none of them has a vast user base, such as WhatsApp. This feature is already being tested in the "Beta Version WhatsApp" and will possibly roll out in the next update, and I think you should start thinking about what polls you are going to post.

WhatsApp Communities Features

These communities will be very different from your typical WhatsApp groups. The major difference will be the number of members you can add. In a group, you have a limit of just 200 members, while in a community, you will be able to have thousands of members. This feature was announced by Meta around eight months ago, but it was delayed due to several reasons. The main concern was spam which takes place a lot in the group, so to keep the communities spam-free, WhatsApp is launching a lot of measures under this feature. This feature will most probably be available within the next update of Whatsapp Beta and will soon be launched in the main app too. One more thing that I would love to inform you is if you are an adventurous kind of person and love to experiment with new features, you must try out the beta version of Whatsapp as the new features are first added to this version, and later they roll out in the main version.

Emoji Reaction

This feature will most probably be available within the next update of Whatsapp Beta and will soon be launched in the main app too. One more thing that I would love to inform you is if you are an adventurous kind of person and love to experiment with new features, you must try out the beta version of Whatsapp as the new features are first added to this version, and later they roll out in the main version.

Whatsapp Logout

Finally, Whatsapp will provide you with an option to log out when you are not using your Whatsapp on a particular device, which will provide you with much more privacy with Whatsapp. Today we get no option to log out, and our personal messages are always at risk whenever our phone is in some other person's hand. Additionally, you can now use Whatsapp on multiple devices without the hustle of an OTP login.

Hide Last Seen

Privacy is crucial, and you might have felt the need to hide your last seen from some people (especially if you are a girl, dam those stalkers). Although you are provided with the feature to hide your Last Seen even today, if you hide your last seen, you have to hide it from everyone; you cannot choose specifically from whom you want to hide your status. But, in the upcoming update, Whatsapp will be providing you with an option to hide your Last Seen from a specific group of people. I am very excited about this feature, as I don’t have to give an excuse to my annoying uncle, who always asks me, “I know you were online an hour ago; why didn't you reply to my messages?”

Delete Messages

This feature has improved a lot in the past few years earlier; you just had 30 sec to delete a message you sent unintentionally. Later, it was extended to 70 minutes, and now Whatsapp is promising to remove the time limit from the delete feature. Therefore you can delete your messages anytime you want. But, I think this feature is not incomplete till they remove that annoying tag that pops up after deleting any message and triggers your friends, who then keep on asking you, “what did you delete?”

Improvement in Search Messages

When you input a keyword in the search bar of Whatsapp, it shows every message where that word had been used, which wastes a lot of time when we are trying to search for a specific message from a specific group or person. This problem of ours has been identified by Whatsapp, and they have decided to provide us with a feature through which we can search for a particular message. You won’t be having a common search bar anymore, a dedicated search bar will be provided with each profile, which will not only save us a lot of time but will also make this message hunt much more convenient for us.

Profile Photo Enlargement in Notifications

When a stranger sent’s us a message, we often want to make sure that whether or not that person is worth our time, hence we often end up reading messages from the notifications, but often we get confused about who has sent us that message as the profile photo icon is tiny in the notification bar and often we are not able to recognize the sender. Well, this problem has a solution now, as Whatsapp will now allow you to enlarge the photo icon in the notification itself. Now you can identify who is the sender and whether he deserves a reply or not.

Spam Control

Spam is one of the biggest problems of WhatsApp nowadays, and Whatsapp is continuously trying to get it under control by implementing a limit on the number of people you can forward a message to at one time. The current limit is five people, but Whatsapp has decided to reduce it further. Although it is not clear how much the limit will go down, it will go down. It is confirmed!
