This is just a hint of all the OnePlus 10 Pro Specs, let's discuss all the features in detail.
OnePlus 10 Pro Display
This phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display along with a 3216x1440 resolution- which is similar to the OnePlus 9. The panel features 10- bit color depth and 100 content of the sRGB and Display P3 color spaces. It uses second-generation LTPO panel technology and has a dynamic refresh rate that maxes out at 120Hz. The latest features of “Dual Calibration” will display more accurate colors in multiple levels of brightness.
But the display has some flaws; When you use this phone in dark on low brightness, the black and gray colors simply mix along with the background colors, and hence there is no visible difference in the colors. This flaw is quite common in most phones that contain an OLED display.
The OnePlus 10 pro supports HDR, HDR 10+, and HLG, but for some reason, one plus has bundled up the HDR brightness and phone's ambient brightness. It means that when you are watching HDR content in the dark, the display almost disappears if the video is of a darker tone. If you are a gamer, then you’ll be happy to know that with the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, you will be able to play games on the highest display settings. Overall the display is what you will expect from a flagship phone. However, the OnePlus obsession with battery life has compromised features like; HDR, dynamic refresh rate, and high refresh rate gaming, which is not expected from a flagship-level phone.
OnePlus 10 Pro Battery
Finally, the OnePlus has upgraded to 5000 mah dual-cell battery life. Just like the previous dual-cell batteries in the OnePlus 10 Pro also has two smaller batteries that will charge simultaneously. Hence will provide you with a fast charging experience. Compared to the OnePlus 9 pro, the battery life has greatly improved. With moderate usage, the battery can last for at least 36 hours, and with heavy usage, it can last for 16 hours. But for fast charging, you need a heavy voltage charger. No “Dash” or “wrap” charger this time. Instead, OnePlus is providing you with the 80 Watt SuperVooc charger, along with the adapter, OnePlus provides you with the OnePLus signature Red-Cable USB.
OnePlus 10 Pro Processor and Performance
OnePlus 10 pro comes along with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Hence you can better imagine the performance. The SoC uses an octa-core CPU conforming of 1x main Cortex-X2 core that runs at 3.0 GHz, backed by 3x Cortex-A710 cores ticking at 2.5 GHz, plus a third cluster of 4x Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8 GHz for lower demanding tasks to save energy. The Adreno 730 GPU takes care of graphically-ferocious tasks and is 25% more effective than its precursor. But for some reason, when numerous tests were performed on this phone, for some reason, it was not able to match the performance of the OnePlus 9.
OnePlus 10 Pro Camera
Probably the best part of any phone nowadays is the camera, and the OnePlus 10 Pro will disappoint you a bit with its camera. A 150-degree wide-angle camera and a fisheye camera is worth your attention if you are a photography enthusiast. However, since the OnePlus 9, OnePlus hasn't tried to improve its main camera. Although the camera is good with the same old 48-megapixel Sony Exmor IMX789, camera enthusiasts will think at least twice before investing their money in this phone. However, the selfie camera has been upgraded, and OnPlus has finally come up with a 32 MP camera. Overall the camera has not improved much. Although some new features have been added, the same old main camera does not give us the confidence to call this a phone with superb camera quality.
OnePlus 10 Pro Price
128GB 8GB RAM - $899.00 on Amazon
256GB 12GB RAM - $999.00 on Amazon
Overall, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G is a decent phone with decent features, but the few things bothering me are the same old main camera and the price. See, OnePlus has always focused on that section of the upper-middle class, but if your phone's price will reach as high as the price of an iPhone, people will always prefer an iPhone over you, and the reasons are quite obvious. If OnePlus asks for my opinion, I will recommend them to produce the phones within the price range that is under $700, as the company is best known for producing budget flagship phones.
So, whether or not by this phone? See, if you are looking for a good flagship phone with good battery performance, this phone can be your choice. However, if you are looking for a phone with a good camera and 5G support, I would probably not recommend this phone. You can instead go for the previous flagship phone of the same company, i.e., the OnePlus 9. However, the final decision maker is always you, as it’s your hard-earned money, and you have the full right to decide how to spend it.
