Traveling is fun but expensive. That’s why many people cannot afford to travel to most places. But there are many ways to travel cheaply. Here are a few suggestions. #ThinkWithNiche

Traveling is a joy that is hard to triumph through any other source. The joy of seeing a whole new place and learning about its culture, history and people is one of the few things that brings almost all of us joy. The world is huge and to travel is to make an attempt to get to know it and witness things with our own eyes. But it also requires a lot of money. The traveling expense includes flight tickets, hotel bookings, liquid cash, etc. which can be a lot for the majority of us to bear. This is why although everyone dreams to travel, only a few truly achieve it.

But as more and more people have begun to travel, they have figured out many hacks to save money and travel cheaply. You don’t always have to spend your whole salary to see a few places. Traveling doesn’t have to be so expensive and there are many little but substantial ways to save money.

1. Cook More-

Restaurants and cafes are cool but they are really expensive and if you decide to travel for a long time, you will have to learn how to cook and save money. This is a pro-tip that many travelers follow as it saves them quite a lot of money. You can even experiment and cook traditional dishes that belong to the place you are in.

2. Don’t spend like crazy on shopping-

If you really like traveling then save money in all the ways you can. This includes not spending much when you visit other countries. It is natural to get overwhelmed by new things you see around you but if there’s something globalization has made possible, it is that everything is available everywhere. So whatever item you think is antique and represents the culture and traditions of the place; chances are you can buy that cheaply in your own city.

3. Travel Off-season-

There’s simple logic in economics about supply and demand and their correlation with prices. The higher the demand, the higher the price; whereas prices go down with demand. Hence the best tip to travel is to go there off-season when there are less tourists. You won’t have to spend much on everything and you’ll notice that the prices are generally down in the off-season.

4. Stay in Hostels-

For the most part, you’ll find that hostels are much cheaper than hotels, as well as Airbnbs. Not only will you save money but will also get to know other people and spend some time living with them. It is a memorable experience and one that mostly had advantages. Look for cheap hostels in the city you are visiting and you’ll find good accommodation without having to spend a fortune.

5. Travel to Countries Where your home currency has higher value-

This is the best advice you’ll find out there. Look for countries where your home currency has higher value so that you can travel more with less money. Countries like Myanmar are very cheap for say Americans and therefore they can travel that part of the world without having to worry about expenditures.
