These days, everyone strives for success and happiness in all aspects of their lives, whether at work or home. We believe that the sole motto is to be optimistic. Every day, we're bombarded with positive affirmations on our social media feeds and from trusted advisors. There are benefits to having a good attitude on work when we are sensible to use all available life lessons, but there are also disadvantages to disregarding the difficulties. Hyper-positivity undermines the belief that others are behaving rationally and thoughtfully to complicated events and the people with whom they engage. As a result, it can undermine trust among co-workers or impede the establishment of strong working relationships with those vying for your attention or your business.

1. Hidden Emotions

When we don't want the world to see a certain negative aspect of ourselves, we put on a false face. It's possible to see a bright smile on that face at times as if everything is OK. However, things aren't exactly as they seem. We're only pretending to be happy while our true feelings are being hidden. We deny our reality when we go into hiding. The fact of the matter is that being too positive might harm at times. If you're depressed and try not to weep, your feelings will be buried even deeper in your body and mind. Suppressed emotions, such as worry, sadness, or physical disease, might later show themselves as a negative result.

It's important to express and release our feelings verbally. This is what keeps us healthy, and removes the stress that comes from holding back the truth from ourselves and others. When we acknowledge our feelings, we accept all of who we are, the good as well as the terrible. Accepting our negativity will help us maintain a healthy mind and body as we go forward.

So go ahead and let your rage out. Of course, we'd all like the rest of the world to think we're doing well and have a happy existence, but that's not always the case. When we live in a constant state of delusion, we miss out on opportunities to connect with people and get assistance. Other people exist in our lives, so allow them to assist you, inspire you in your difficulties; don't attempt to fake a smile, let the bad air out, and make use of the supports that our social environments may give. Don't fake it with a smile.

In other words, before you utter that statement about going ahead, take some time to sit with the situation and dwell on what is wrong. We can only begin to cultivate a really optimistic outlook after dealing with the issues that are holding us back. Putting it another way, if you try to put on a false smile, you'll end up slicing off your own fingernails with an ax, you can’t manage falsehood till the end, and hyper positivity is absolutely a falsehood, as we are just forcefully trying to be positive. Fortunately for us pessimists, we can perceive both the difficulties and the wonders of life, and we understand the value of both optimism and negative.

4. You Can Miss Valuable Lessons

It’s truly said that Confidence is good but never be over-confident. Having the mindset of a learner helps us avoid making the same mistakes over and over again, which helps us improve. Many of life's essential lessons might be missed by excessively optimistic people. To learn from our errors, we need to have a healthy relationship with failure. Being too optimistic might cause us to gloss over and disregard our mistakes, increasing the likelihood that we will make the same mistakes again. Instead of going around in circles, we need to accept our mistakes, think about them, and spend some quality time with the bad energy.

5. Feeling Guilty For Negativity

Guilt is a symptom of toxic optimism. If everything else in your life is going well, you could believe that you don't have a right to be down about something. When someone engages in hyper positivity, it invalidates your sentiments and adds yet more bad emotion to the mix. To counteract this, recognize that your emotions are real. Even if everything else at work is going well, you still have the right to feel stressed or nervous about your current or upcoming situations. Instead, over-positive people try to feel pleased about their wellness.

not only do those people try to hide their negativity but also, they feel guilty about others' negativity. So, if a co-worker comes to you and communicates their feelings, listen to them. Reassure them of your understanding of their emotions. Don’t just feel guilty and complete the word with “It’s Okay. No problem”. It's better not to tell others how they should or should not feel, especially at work. If you validate their sentiments, it will let them know you're someone they can turn to with their difficulties and it will make them assure that you are there for them who can listen to them and help them solve the mistake.
