This world, comprised of democratic and non-democratic countries, is controlled not only by their highest leaders but the international businesses. Directly or indirectly, these major biz companies have hold over each of us. The knowledge of sentiments and thinking of people gives these mega-companies hold of a power that is unheard of. But the accelerating surge in growth of population has now become a major boulder in the paths of these big businesses, which in extension has started a rise in the question of survival for the upcoming future. #ThinkWithNiche.

This world, comprised of democratic and non-democratic countries, is controlled not only by their highest leaders but the international businesses. Directly or indirectly, these major biz companies have to hold over each of us. The knowledge of sentiments and thinking of people gives these mega-companies hold of a power that is unheard of. But the accelerating surge in growth of population has now become a major boulder in the paths of these big businesses, which in extension has started a rise in the question of survival for the upcoming future. This rebound of survival from the age of early age has now delved these big brains into the conversion of their business from the present form to a sustainable form.

When we see the future of business and corporations, there are some global trends that are impossible to ignore. First, there is global population growth, we are at a population of 7 billion people on this planet, on our way to 9 billion by the year 2050. We also at the same time are experiencing rapid urbanization, so the growth of mega-cities, as well as the rise of the middle class in many emerging markets. All of this translates into an incredible demand at an unprecedented scale for food, consumer goods, housing, transportation infrastructure, energy, water and several other little factors which when compounded have a huge impact globally, not just on the population but on the environment in which we are living. The beginning of very real constraints on the availability of several  natural resources. Agricultural inputs that go into making goods for such a humongous population are now under the question of being powerful enough to fulfil their needs.

To tackle this astronomically growing issue, several minds have been put in to find different ways. Finding a way around such a global issue is a task of the global economy, which is run by these huge corporate houses. Noticing these issues has led to creating an opening of various ideas and options. One of the ways found is Corporate sustainability, which is an approach to doing business that recognizes that responding to social and environmental considerations can be good for business because it mitigates risk and creates new opportunities. This corporate sustainability arises from a concept of the triple bottom line: people, planet, profit. The fact that companies are now larger than many countries, has landed them with this huge responsibility of making the environment livable for the upcoming generation.

What’s our getaway from these big firms? It is sustainability. A sustainable environment. Be it small businesses or medium scale businesses, a greener environment would only add better value to their product. To simplify, it’s like watching a motivational quote on Instagram, but what adds to the post is the enraging background it has; it makes us not just read but feel the quote.  Apple is a great example, Apple stores across the world have in-house trees planted indoors. That’s what makes it stand out and that is what can make your business stand out.
