News Synopsis

According to a statement released on October 4, this partnership would allow Google Cloud to provide "technical assistance" to Near award recipients by giving the infrastructure for Near's Remote Procedure Call node provider to Pagoda.

Near Protocol is a Decentralized Application (DApp) framework that prioritises developer and user friendliness. It takes use of sharding technologies to scale. Because it supports smart contracts and is a proof-of-stake blockchain, it competes with Ethereum.

Pagoda is a newly launched platform that gives Web3 developers using the platform a full-stack toolset for building, releasing, and maintaining their Web3 applications, or DApps, on the blockchain. It was first introduced in February 2022.

Due to its extremely rapid, extremely secure, and infinitely scalable protocol, NEAR has grown exponentially over the past year. Over 20 million accounts and 200 million transactions have been completed on the NEAR network, and between 300,000 and 400,000 transactions take place daily.

In a statement, Carlos Arena, director of digital assets at Google Cloud, said that his company will continue to promote "new goods and services on blockchain-based platforms" and that its infrastructure will give Near developers a way to "grow and scale."

Similar agreements between Google Cloud and Binance's BNB Chain smart contract blockchain platform were signed in September, enabling business owners who are developing goods and services on the BNB Chain blockchain to also do so on Google Cloud's scalable, secure, and open-source infrastructure.
