News Synopsis

Netflix has implemented a new rule to stop users from sharing passwords. Actually, Netflix believes that sharing passwords of users harms its revenue. Under which if a user shares the password of his Netflix account with a friend, relative, or any other person, then for this he will have to pay a separate surcharge. So if you also share Netflix password with friends, then be careful.

Let us tell you that the company has recently added a new option 'add extra member' for users living in Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru. After the introduction of this new rule, now if users share their Netflix password with people outside the home, then they will have to pay extra for it. However, this rule is not applicable in India at present.

It is worth noting that even before this, Netflix had told that those who share the password may have to pay an additional fee and the company has already started this rule in many countries. In such a situation, it can be expected that in the coming time, the company will start 'add a home' in India as well, after which Indian users will have to pay extra money.

However, the streaming platform revealed in January that they would be updating the app with a new feature that would streamline and enhance the Netflix experience.

The entertainment giant added the function to its TV app in February 2022. The opt-in option on TV can be viewed while scrolling down the rows, unlike smartphones where it can be reached via the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Using the right arrow on the remote control, users can cycle through the videos.
