Blackpink Appointed As The New Sustainable Development Goals
BLACKPINK has been named as an advocate for the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 broad goals aimed at achieving a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030. Poverty, Inequality, Climate Change, Peace, Justice, And Environmental Degradation are just a few of the broad objectives. "We are honoured to be joining this journey towards a better world," BLACKPINK members said after being appointed. The K-pop group from South Korea will contribute to raising awareness about the 17 goals and the importance of achieving them. Lisa, a member of the group, recently released her debut album, LALISA, which includes a music video for the title track of the same name. Her video shattered all previous records by becoming the fastest debut music video in YouTube history to reach 10 million views in just 90 minutes. It shows the impact they have on their fans and will be beneficial for the achievement of these goals. As their fans are most likely to support it, now that Blackpink is associated with it.
