Koozhangal Beats ‘Sardar Udham’ And ‘Sherni’ To The Oscars

News Synopsis

Recently a list of Indian movies came out, the list for the shortlisted movies that would be going to the Oscars from India. The list included Bollywood films like Sardar Udham Singh and Sherni, these were at the top and everyone expected them to be the films for the Oscars.
In the recent updates, PS Vinothraj's Koozhangal a Tamil movie has been selected as India's official entry to the Oscars. 

The movie depicts the story of an alcoholic father and his son. The film follows both of them trying to bring the lady of the house back as she has gone to her father's house. Shahi N Karin the chairperson of the committee announce the decision, and the film federation of India confirmed that the decision was unanimous.

Koozhangal has beaten Bollywood films like 'Sherni', Sardar Udham Singh, Captain Vikram Batra's biopic, Shershaah, 'Kaagaz', 'Toofan'. It has also faced competition from the tamil films 'Mandela', 'Aata Vel Zaali, 'Karkhanisanchi Waari', and 'Godavari', Koozhangal has already won several awards for its storyline and presentation. We only hope that the movie represents India on an international level and shows that India is not limited to Bollywood only and has versatile stories to represent.
