Kim Kardashian has co-founded her own private equity firm with a former partner at investment firm the Carlyle Group. SKKY Partners stated in a tweet that they will focus on investing in consumer and media businesses. Ms. Kardashian will be a co-founder and co-managing partner, while Jay Sammons will oversee the firm's day-to-day operations. Kris Jenner, Ms Kardashian's mother, will also be a partner at the firm.

In a tweet, the reality star turned entrepreneur stated, "Together we hope to leverage our complementary expertise to build the next generation Consumer & Media private equity firm" Mr Sammons, her business partner, is the former global head of consumer, media, and retail at the Carlyle Group, a multi-national investment firm based in the United States. According to his LinkedIn page, his clients included well-known brands such as Supreme, Beats by Dr. Dre, Vogue International, Moncler, and McDonald's China.

According to Forbes, the reality star, who rose to fame after appearing on her family's show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," has seen entrepreneurial success in recent years and is said to have a net worth of $1.8 billion. In 2019, she launched the shapewear label Skims, which was valued at $3.2 billion in January by The Wall Street Journal. Earlier this year, the entrepreneur also launched the skin-care line SKKN BY KIM. Following in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ashton Kutcher, the 41-year-old is the latest celebrity to launch their own private equity and venture capital investment firms.
