India asks IT firms to provide AI solutions to limit power loss

The government of India has requested leading IT firms of the nation to provide them with solutions to limit power losses. They are planning to use artificial intelligence technology to implement this. India loses a large amount of power generated while distribution thus increasing the financial burden on power generating companies. India's power losses are amongst the highest in the world, even worse than its neighbor Bangladesh. Government looks towards artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain technology to analyze the shortcomings in power distribution and to come up with effective solutions to eliminate or at least limit this problem. These advanced technologies will help the power generating company to enhance production, better distribution, fewer power cuts, and decrease the level of power loss. These technologies will also help the consumers as this will eventually lead to less tariff prices.
