India@2047: Indian Government's Vision To Become A Developed Nation By 2047

The Indian government is introducing an ambitious strategy for transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. This declaration was made on the 75th anniversary of India's independence, and the government has put out a plan to reach this goal.

The Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) held THE India@2047 Networking Summit in New Delhi on March 18, 2023, concentrating on areas such as New Age Agricultural and Food Processing, Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality, and Information Communication Technologies. During the event, Tech Science Research and the Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly launched the Knowledge paper. Kathyawad Ventures (a Micro VC Fund) and Collaboration innovX (Romanian Accelerator) also launched the KCCI-supported Start-up Exchange Program. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, supported the summit, and GIL, DST, and the Government of Gujarat joined as State Partners. The LJS, Evok supported this project as an industry partner, as did many other chambers such as PCCI, Global Chamber, Indian Investors, GR Foundation, and media groups such as the World of Hospitality, Mice Affairs, and TBN network.

Minister (S), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, joined virtually to address environmental challenges and stated that the government has launched several initiatives such as the National Clean Energy Fund, which promotes the use of renewable energy, and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which aims to make India clean and free of open defecation.

In order to fulfill this vision, the Indian government has implemented a number of projects and policies aimed at boosting economic growth, promoting social development, and addressing environmental concerns. One of the main initiatives is the "Make in India" program, which intends to turn India into a worldwide manufacturing powerhouse by encouraging local production and attracting international investment.

In addition, the government has undertaken a number of programs to address social concerns such as poverty, education, and healthcare. The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) plan seeks to give financial inclusion to all Indian citizens, while the Ayushman Bharat scheme seeks to provide universal healthcare coverage.

Bharat Patel, Secretary General of KCCI, welcomes all present dignitaries and highlights KCCI's Vision for the next 25 years, stating that the organization will soon begin its many operational wings for the growth of industries globally. He claimed that India has achieved enormous gains in economic growth, social development, and technical developments during the previous several decades. The country has the potential to become a worldwide leader in a variety of fields, including technology, healthcare, education, and agriculture. Yet, in order to acquire the rank of developed country, India must solve several major issues, including poverty, inequality, infrastructure, agriculture, and climate change.

Dr. Amit Joshi, Director of KCCI, emphasized the Ek Koshish effort, which will help local players. Via "EK KOSHISH," which intends to find rare disappearing "Makeshifters" known as "Jugads" in rural regions and then streamline them after registering and patenting in an 18-month period that will expire in early 2024.

The vision plan's first few recommendations include liberating India's defense procurement from foreign dependency and developing a road map for 'India's space in the world in 2047' The vision plan involves re-engineering government procedures to bring institutional knowledge to the government sector and minimizing needless government intrusion in individuals' lives to help construct this future-ready India.

The Indian government's goal for the country is ambitious, but it is also attainable. India can become a developed nation and fulfill its full potential with the appropriate policies, efforts, and investments. The government is dedicated to making this vision a reality, and it is encouraging all stakeholders, including citizens, companies, and civil society, to collaborate.
