News Synopsis

After his son Aryan Khan was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau for the usage of illicit substances, Shah Rukh Khan's life was turned upside down in a matter of days. Although SRK's forthcoming ventures have come to a halt, Byju's has chosen to end its advertising partnership with the superstar. Some people complained that supporting an education app by someone who can't educate his own child to be law-abiding will harm their reputation.

After becoming the subject of social media criticism following Aaryan's arrest, the Bangalore-based start-up has removed advertisements despite many advance bookings. While Shah Rukh is the face of numerous companies, Byju's is one of his most lucrative contracts, with yearly compensation estimated to be in the range of Rs 3 crore to Rs 4 crore. Criticism began after Aryan Khan and seven others were apprehended after the NCB stormed a luxury cruise ship on the night of October 2, seizing 5 grams of Mephedrone, 21 grams of Charas, 22 tablets of MDMA, and 13 grams of cocaine, as well as Rs 1.3 lakh in cash.
