The minister emphasized the need to recognize that established and developing nations would have distinct growth timelines and needs and that all nations must be sensitive to one another's needs and goals.

The Commerce Minister noted that sustainability and inclusive growth were important components in India's Union Budget 2023.

Everyone must have access to basic needs including access to water, digital and infrastructure connectivity, technology, healthcare, and education, among others, he continued.

Goyal went on to say that India's aspirational youth, who see sustainability as a key component of India's future growth, are the ones driving India's growth story.

The Union Minister urged business executives and world leaders in politics to work together to spearhead efforts to move society towards a greener future.

Josep Borrell, high representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy, and vice president of the European Union stated that "India is an indispensable and strategic partner for the European Union,"

He emphasized that India is a crucial partner for the EU in a variety of fields, including energy and technology, and he said that there is more potential for expanding India-EU energy cooperation, notably in green energy and just transition.

"The Indian and European economies are connected through trade and innovation and cooperation between the two must be explored further as the two together can shape a better future for the world," said Wopke Hoekstra, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.

India's G20 presidency, according to British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, has come at the perfect time, making India an important partner for the UK.

He emphasized that the UK would support India's G20 presidency and that they would cooperate to improve the international trading system. The India-UK free trade agreement has the potential to have a substantial positive impact on both economies, cleverly said.
