The renewable energy branch of the Adani Group, Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has acquired the approval to become a member of the GRI South Asia Charter on Sustainability Imperatives. Adani Green is the world’s largest solar power developer. GRI had requested Adani Green Energy, to become a member of the charter in April 2021. Adani green has surfaced as the major player in the clean green energy segment. In just a few years since its inception, it has reached new heights of success. It is one of the prominent companies that is promoting and working towards a sustainable future and now becoming a member of the GRI South Asia charter is another feather in its cap. Being a member of this charter comes with its own set of responsibilities. Organizations that are a part of this must ensure that they adhere to three principles:

·     Compliance and adherence with their rules and regulations

·     Practice ethical practice and ensure the integrity

·     Be transparent about their performance.
