'The Kashmir Files' enters 100 crore club

News Synopsis

‘The Kashmir Files’ which has become the talk of the town since it was released on the big screen has officially entered 100 crore club. Director of ‘The Kashmir Files’, Vivek Agnihotri took to his Instagram handle to announce this. He captioned his post “आप सबको होली की १०० करोड़ बधाइयाँ (100 crore wishes to all of you on Holi)." Despite being a low-budget film and with minimal promotion, the Vivek Agnihotri-directed 'The Kashmir Files' continues to post strong numbers on the Box Office. The film features Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, and Pallavi Joshi. The film depicts the suffering of Kashmiri Pandits during the exodus of 1990. The film was released on March 11th and since then it has been going strong. Many eminent Bollywood personalities such as Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, Hansal Mehta, Aditya Dhar, and others appreciated the film and urged the audience to watch it. Several states such as Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tripura, Goa, Haryana, and Uttarakhand in a bid to promote the film have declared the film tax-free.
