News Synopsis

Social media giant video sharing platform Instagram has made new changes in its privacy features. Under this change, children below the age of 16 will no longer be able to watch sensitive content. In an official announcement, Meta-owned Instagram said that we are making some changes to the privacy features to protect children from sensitive content, including limiting sensitive content by default for new teen users. Let us tell you that till now the help of parents' control option was taken to turn off or limit sensitive content for children on Instagram.

According to Instagram, soon this feature will be made live for everyone. With these features, Instagram will become more secure and fun than before. Under this new feature of Instagram, only two options will be given for children under 16 years of age in sensitive content control. Children can opt for standard and lace options only. If not selected, it will be set to lace by default. According to the company, now after this privacy feature, children will not be able to find sensitive content or any keywords, search results, hashtags, pages, reels, or news feeds related to it. Many security features have also been added to this feature for children below 16 years of age. As part of the new features, children will also be able to manage content sharing, messages or contacts, content scenes, and the time they use Instagram.
