Koo Cofounder requests Elon Musk to work with them

News Synopsis

After the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter, Parag Agrawal announced that the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk will not be joining the Board of the microblogging platform, the CEO of Koo, Aprameya Radhakrishna asked Elon Musk to work with them. He founded the Indian rival of the microblogging platform in the year 2020. He tweeted and asked Elon Musk to give his platform a shot. He tweeted: “ @elonmusk let's talk sometime! We're young, agile and dreaming big! Koo being built as the future of social media.”

He further informed that his platform already lets users to voluntarily verify their accounts using a government-approved identification. Musk had previously tweeted where he advocated the Indian government’s view of giving social media users an option to verify themselves. Koo recently allowed the self-verification feature on its platform. It currently uses Aadhar cards to verify accounts but it plans to use other identification methods as well in the future. All self-verified accounts will have a green tick next to the name, which will be different from the yellow tickmark that displays on the accounts of celebrities and eminent personalities
