News Synopsis

On Saturday, former Chief Executive Officer of Twitter Jack Dorsey told that he is against permanently imposing a ban on accounts on the social media platform, until and unless they are involved in illegal activity. The former CEO  who left the microblogging platform in the month of November 2021 in order to focus on his financial payments company called Block earlier known as Square, did not name any person but his tweet indicated former US President Donald Trump who was banned from the social media company last year regarding the violence that happened at Capitol Hill.

In a statement, Jack Dorsey said, "As I've said before, I don't believe any permanent ban (with the exception of illegal activity) is right or should be possible. This is why we need a protocol that's resilient to the layers above.” The microblogging platform also temporarily banned The New York Post after it published an article related to US President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden. Other than this, the legal head of Twitter Vijaya Gadde has also been criticized by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is all set to take over the micro-blogging site for $44 billion.
