Facebook to launch Reels worldwide

Meta Incorporation plans to go global with its Reels feature on its social media platform- Facebook. The company said it is currently the fastest-growing content format. The feature is going to be launched in more than 150 countries. Meta said that Reels will be its key priority in the coming future. The social media giant witnessed a historic wipeout earlier this month leading to huge losses. Recently short videos feature has emerged as one most popular platforms in the social media industry. Facebook commenced its journey in short video formats when the popular app TikTok owned by ByteDance got banned in India. It introduced this feature initially on Instagram in 2020 and Facebook in 2021. Now it aims to expand it other regions and countries of the world. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a statement said: "Reels is already our fastest-growing content format by far, and today we're making it available to everyone on Facebook globally”.  The company also announced that it will be paying reels creators a part of revenue earned from ad services in a recent announcement.
