News Synopsis

News and news channels are already banned in China. No private channel can do reporting inside China. China gives news to the world only through its official media Global Times. Now in this episode, China is preparing to take strict action on social media users. In the coming times, comments made on every post by social media users in China will be reviewed and tracked.
In this regard, China's internet regulator has published a new set of rules to monitor social media comments. According to this, social media platforms will have to review all online comments before they are published and report any incorrect and bad information to the authorities. The new rules have been designed to protect national security and public interest.
This new rule of the government has been described by social media users of China as an attack on free speech and they fear that under the guise of this, the government will try to suppress the voice of the common people. Also, government officials can misuse it. According to the new rules, any influencer producing 'professional' content in domains such as finance, medicine, law, and education will be required to have a license.
