'Gadar' Actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi Passes Away At 68

Veteran actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi, who was best known for his pivotal roles in films such as Gadar, Ek Prem Katha and Koi Mil Gaya, died on August 3. According to reports, the 68-year old passed away due to a heart attack. Ashish, the actor's son in law, wrote a touching note to the deceased soul. He called him the "best father in the universe".

Ashish posted a series of throwback photos of Mithilesh to Facebook on Thursday, August 4. Bhagwan, aapki shanti pradan-kare. Reportedly, Chaturvedi died after suffering a cardiac attack in Lucknow. Ashish took to Facebook to mourn the loss, and wrote that his passing has left a void.
 

Hansal Mehta, a filmmaker, also expressed sorrow over Mithilesh’s death. Director Hansal Mehta, who worked with Chaturvedi in the hit web series 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story', mourned the actor's demise on Instagram. On Thursday morning, Mehta captioned a picture on Instagram, "RIP Mithileshji."

Mithilesh was an entertainment industry veteran for many years. He starred in movies such as Hrithik Roshan’s Koi Mil Gaya and Sunny Deol’s Gadar. He has also been seen on TV shows such as Patiala Babes. Last seen in 2020's Sitabo, starring Amitabh Bachchan & Ayushmann Khurrana as the leads. A web series called Talli Jodd was also won by Mithilesh.
