Mukesh Ambani reclaims his throne, becomes Asia’s richest man

Reliance Industries Chief Mukesh Ambani, regains the spot of Asia’s richest man, just a day after he was replaced by the chairman of Adani Group, Mr. Gautam Adani. According to Bloomberg, which publishes a global ranking of billionaires, Ambani with a net worth of $89.2 billion, made his way among the top 10 richest people in the world. Gautam Adani on the other hand slipped to the 11th spot. Shares of the Adani group closed in red yesterday, while reliance stock managed to post some profit on the stock exchange. This led to a loss of $2.16 billion in Adani’s net worth and he lost his position to the reliance’s chairman. However, Gautam Adani is still the biggest wealth gainer this year as he earned more than $12 billion.
