MoT Inaugurates A Pavilion At ITB, Berlin 2023 Under Its ‘Incredible India’ Brand Line

News Synopsis

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is participating in Internationale Tourismus-Börse ITB, Berlin 2023 under its "Incredible India" brand line, showcasing India's rich and diverse tourism potential and giving the tourism stakeholders a platform to showcase the various tourism destinations and products, including niche products. Additionally, it wants to advertise India as a "Must See, Must Visit" country.

On March 7, 2023, at 10:30 am, Mr. Arvind Singh, the Secretary of Tourism for the Government of India, H.E. Mr. Parvathaneni Harish, the Ambassador of India to Germany, and other Indian officials from the State Governments of Kerala, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, and Union Territory of Ladakh,

There are about 60 Indian participants in the India Pavilion, representing a variety of travel-related businesses, including travel agencies, tour companies, airlines, hotels, the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation.

From March 7–9, 2023, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, participated in ITB 2023 by reserving a 710-square-meter booth.

The Ministry of Tourism would meet with tour operators, travel agents, and a variety of other stakeholders during its participation.

In order to increase India's market share in the international tourism industry, the Ministry of Tourism promotes India as a holistic travel destination in the markets that generate tourism.

The Incredible India pavilion at ITB will put a special emphasis on showcasing the country's many tourism products, including its culture, heritage, adventure, rural tourism, and niche tourist attractions like luxury, wellness, yoga, and wildlife.

Additionally, on March 7th at 14:00 hours, India held the press conference "Incredible India welcomes the world" at the newly constructed City Cube Congress venue of the Messe Berlin. The conference featured 65 international journalists, including representatives from international television networks, national German magazines and newspapers, and international European media. The national television network ARD as well as some of the most important German travel publications like FVW and Touristik Aktuell were present.

Journalists were shown several new videos about the pertinent tourism industries that India is focusing on in 2023 after the Indian delegates' presentation.

Indian finger foods and beverages were served after the press conference, making it the ideal end to a press conference and giving the attendees a small taste of authentic India.
