News Synopsis

If you also travel by train in India then this news is for you. According to the news, now you can order food online on the train with the help of WhatsApp. This means, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation IRCTC, a branch of Indian Railways, has launched an online food order facility, in which passengers will be able to order food on the train from WhatsApp itself using the PNR number. It is worth noting that IRCTC's food delivery service Zoop has partnered with Jio Haptic for this chatbot service. For this IRCTC online food facility, passengers will have to use only their PNR number, after which the passenger will get hot food on the seat in less time. Passengers will not even need to download any app to order food online. Passengers can order food from any station as per convenience on WhatsApp chat with the help of Zoop. Along with this, passengers will also get real-time food tracking feedback and helpline support through WhatsApp chat. This facility has been started for more than 100 railway stations.

In comparison to other WhatsApp solutions, Zoop makes sure that the entire ordering process is carried out exclusively within WhatsApp. Passengers can easily and hassle-free order food online from IRCTC without having to download any additional software or apps.

An official said in a statement that "The newly launched service is now witnessing rapid growth in daily conversations through WhatsApp and is set to scale higher as the service engages with users in a direct WhatsApp chat with lists and buttons, helping them explore restaurants based on their PNR number, Train number or Station,"
