Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express, the second Vande Bharat Express in the state of Uttar Pradesh and the 25th in India overall. This semi-high speed train aims to enhance connectivity and convenience for travelers in Uttar Pradesh, particularly for those visiting the religiously significant city of Ayodhya.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Flags Off the Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express

On July 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, inaugurated the Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express. This train, consisting of eight coaches, will connect Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, to Gorakhpur, the former Lok Sabha constituency of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The train holds significance as it will also make a stop at the Ayodhya Railway Station, a place of religious importance for Hindus.

Significance of Ayodhya and the Need for Convenient Connectivity

Ayodhya, known as the birthplace of Lord Ram, is a prominent religious site for Hindu pilgrims. With the recent construction of the grand Maryada Purshottam Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the city is expected to witness an increase in visitors.

While Lucknow is easily accessible by train or flight, the introduction of the Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will greatly facilitate the journey between these two cities, providing seamless connectivity for pilgrims and passengers.

Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express: Timing and Schedule

The Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express is a part of the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat route. As per the IRCTC schedule, the train will operate six days a week, excluding Saturdays.

Similarly, on the return journey, the train will depart from Lucknow and reach Ayodhya station without any intermediate stops.
