Tech giant, Cloudflare said that if all the cables from the data source were removed and in response configuring data routers could not coordinate with the network traffic between data centers causing havoc on the internet.
Tech giants such as Facebook have hundreds of thousands of networks that are further broken, such networks are labeled as ‘Border Gateway Protocol, a kind of postal service for the internet. According to reports, on Monday, Facebook could not provide information to the system. This meant that no one’s device had the means to connect with Facebook or any other site.
This incident has raised eyebrows over how Facebook functions and processes data. And how it controls the operational functioning of the site. While it has faced several outages earlier too but this time, the shut down was pulled way too long.
