News Synopsis

Hocomoco, a Hyderabad-based tech-powered construction aggregator, has relaunched as Wehouse and announced that it has raised $1 million in its first fundraising round from Anthill Ventures and a group of angel investors. The money will be used to update the technology infrastructure and hire key personnel as the company expands across India, according to a statement. Wehouse is a tech aggregator platform that helps customers build their dream homes by facilitating end-to-end construction services.

The company streamlines the construction process by integrating all parties involved in the process under one roof. It offers a full range of services, including legal permissions, architectural structural design, construction execution, and interiors and monitoring.

It also provides e-monitoring, which allows customers to track work progress and material usage on-site via images, videos, and notifications. As a result, it added, it would provide a surveillance-secured project site to avoid theft and damage during the operation.

Speaking about the funding and the rebranding, Sripad Nandiraj, Co-Founder and CEO, Wehouse, said, “Our new name embodies our industrial and individual worldview. It means we, as a company and our clients, are building their dream home together as a family. The funding will be used to bolster our tech and prime us for scalability. Currently, more than 2000 workers are indirectly employed on different projects across Wehouse’s projects. We want to keep increasing this number and give these workers more jobs as we grow.”
