News Synopsis

The United States of America has announced a new rule set for international travellers. The Biden Administration has announced on Monday that foreign air travellers need to be fully vaccinated and need to have proof of the vaccination as well. This ruleset will be applied from November 8. A person who is travelling to the USA needs to get a negative viral test within one day of travelling to the states.

Children under 18 are exempted from the vaccination requirement, looking at the ineligibility of the children to get vaccinated and also due to many countries not having access to the vaccination for older children. However, the advisory has made it compulsory for children between ages 2 to 17 to take a pre-departure test. The test must be done within three days of departure.
