Uber announces Ride-booking Through Whatsapp in India

Uber and WhatsApp have announced a partnership in India. This will allow the users to book a Uber taxi with the help of their WhatsApp profile. The whole transaction process will be followed through a WhatsApp chat only. 

Nandini Maheshwari, Uber APAC Senior Director said that this will ease the process of booking a taxi by being able to do it through a platform that they are comfortable with. The users can also track the location of the driver. The feature is only available only in English for now but the developers are planning to add more Indian languages soon. 

The service will start from the northern part of Lucknow first and will soon expand to the other Indian cities as well.
