Suzuki Launches Its First Electric Scooter e-Access in India: Price, Features, and Details

Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially entered the electric two-wheeler segment with the launch of its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, in India. Priced at ₹1.88 lakh (ex-showroom), the new electric scooter is designed for everyday usability and aims to compete with established rivals such as the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Ather Rizta.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched its first-ever electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, in the Indian market. The electric two-wheeler is priced at ₹1.88 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be manufactured at Suzuki’s Gurugram plant in India.

Marking a new chapter for the automaker, the Suzuki e-Access is positioned to strengthen the brand’s presence in the electric mobility segment while taking on competitors like the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Ather Rizta.

Bookings Open and Design Highlights

Suzuki has officially started bookings for the Suzuki e-Access across India. The scooter has been designed keeping Suzuki’s trusted build quality, durability, and daily commuting needs in mind.

The company has introduced a new dual-tone colour option — Metallic Mat Stellar Blue and Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray. With this addition, the e-Access is now available in four colour options, including Black, White, Green, and the new Blue dual-tone variant. Its premium design and sleek styling give the scooter a modern and attractive appearance.

Suzuki Management on the e-Access Launch

Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, stated that the Suzuki e-Access is the company’s first global strategic battery electric vehicle. According to him, the scooter offers long battery life, smooth acceleration, and high-quality fit and finish.

Suzuki’s focus, he added, is to provide customers with an easy, enjoyable, and stress-free ownership experience, ensuring that users feel fully supported throughout their electric mobility journey.

Suzuki e-Technology Platform

The Suzuki e-Access has been developed under the Suzuki e-Technology initiative, which focuses on real-world usability. The scooter has undergone rigorous testing under global standards, including water submersion, extreme heat and cold conditions, drop tests, vibration tests, and battery safety evaluations.

Long Battery Life and Performance

The Suzuki e-Access is equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which offers nearly four times longer lifespan compared to conventional NMC batteries.

It is powered by a 4.1 kW electric motor that produces 15 Nm of torque, delivering smooth acceleration even at low battery levels. The scooter also offers multiple riding modes, including Eco, Ride A, and Ride B, along with reverse mode and regenerative braking for improved efficiency.

High-Quality Features and Build

Key features of the Suzuki e-Access include full LED lighting, two-tone alloy wheels, and a maintenance-free drive belt with a lifespan of up to 7 years or 70,000 kilometres.

Attention to detail in panel gaps, solid fittings, and high-quality switches gives the scooter a premium feel. Suzuki claims that the e-Access delivers a silent and vibration-free riding experience.

Charging Infrastructure and Convenience

Suzuki Motorcycle India currently operates over 1,200 outlets across the country where customers can experience the e-Access. Out of these, more than 240 dealerships are equipped with DC fast chargers, with plans to expand this network further.

In addition, AC portable chargers are available at all Suzuki outlets, ensuring convenient charging options for customers.

Suzuki e-Access Price in India

The Suzuki e-Access is priced at ₹1,88,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings have commenced at all authorised Suzuki dealerships across India.

Once sales officially begin, the electric scooter will also be available for purchase via Flipkart.
