Ravindra Jadeja will Lead Chennai Super Kings
The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to kick start on March 26th. This year 10 teams will lock horns against one another to emerge as the winner of the most entertaining T20 league of the world. However, just a couple of days before the first match of the season, one of the most successful teams of the IPL- Chennai Super Kings has announced that this year Ravindra Jadeja will be leading the team. Former captain of the franchise, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has passed the baton to the exceptional all-rounder. However, he continues to be a part of the team. In its official statement has Chennai Super Kings said: “Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012, will only be the third player to lead CSK. Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond.” Earlier, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar in a statement said: "If in the odd game MS Dhoni decides to take a break, I won't be surprised if the mantle of captaincy will be handed over to Jadeja." CSK is currently the defending champion of the IPL and it will go against Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match of the season. With four IPL titles under its name, CSK is a strong competitor for all others. This year Tata Group has become the official sponsor of IPL. Two new teams- Lucknow Supergiants and Gujarat Titans have been added in the latest edition of the IPL.
