In its latest round of funding, Healthtech startup Qure.ai has raised $40 million. This fundraising round was led by Novo Holdings and HealthQuad. It also saw the participation of MassMutual Ventures. Qure.ai uses artificial intelligence for medical image diagnostics. This Healthcare startup was founded in the year 2016 by Prashant Warrier and Dr. Pooja Rao. It has developed a technology that could detect brain trauma and chest diseases by analyzing  X-rays and other scans. This same technology was also used to detect Covid-19 by company. The startup informed that the raised capital will be used for global expansion, especially in the United States of America (USA) and Europe. The startup claims its automated medical imaging tools can reduce the time to diagnosis, while enabling physicians to manage medical cases in a more effective manner. In a small hospital of Tezpur of Assam, the same technology has been used to detect strokes and concussions as well. Qure.ai founder, Prashant Warrier in his statement said: "Every year our technology helps more than four million people across 50 countries. Our goal is to continue being bullish in our market expansion, especially in the US and Europe. We are committed to aiding healthcare professionals in diagnosing illnesses faster and with more detail and accuracy while automating most of the routine work.”
