News Synopsis

Travel and hospitality technology platform OYO completed its acquisition of Europe-based Direct Booker, announcing that the latter has a valuation of approximately $5.5 million.

The acquisition will strengthen OYO's presence across Europe, especially Croatia, with approximately 1,800 vacation homes on the Belvilla platform and more than 7,000 homes on its Traum Ferienwohnungen platform. The company has said that the inventory of Direct Booker will be available on Belvilla.com and on its other platforms.

OYO Global Chief Business Officer, Ankit Tandon said, homes continue to be an important strategic segment for OYO, and its cutting-edge technology, distribution system, and data sciences will add value to Direct Booker’s current 3,200 homes and enhance collective growth in Europe.

OYO recently announced its intention to acquire "tuck-in", especially in the European market, as a strategic growth driver. It already has a strong presence in the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, and Austria.

Joining the OYO network will also improve the visibility of homes listed on the Direct Booker platform, especially in Scandinavian, Benelux, and neighboring countries, Direct Booker CEO & Co-Founder Nino Dubretic said.
