News Synopsis

Corona is also being seen this time in China. Here, the coronavirus that originated in Wuhan three years ago has reemerged, leading to the imposition of a partial lockdown in the city. The administration of Shanghai, a commercial city in China, also mandated a Covid-19 test for all 1.3 million residents of Yangpu on Friday. It has also been suggested that until the investigation report is released, people stay inside.

This summer, similar orders were again issued, resulting in a two-month citywide lockdown. With a population of 2.5 crores, the local economy of this city has been completely destroyed. According to the source, there was a food crisis in the city during the previous lockdown, and there were several conflicts between the populace and the authorities.

The lockdown has been imposed after cases of corona once again surfaced within several cities in the northwest of Wuhan, China. Due to the zero covid policy, such areas have also been sealed here where corona cases are coming up. In the last 24 hours, more than 1,000 new cases of corona have been reported in China for the third consecutive day.

From Shanghai in the east to Tibet far to the west, where anti-lockdown protests have also been recorded, strict measures have been applied nationwide. A lockdown that has lasted as long as 74 days was being protested by throngs of both native Tibetans and Han Chinese migrants, according to a cell phone film that was smuggled out of the area. There was reportedly no hint of violence in the video, which was apparently taken on Wednesday night. Since violent anti-government protests started in Lhasa in 2008 and extended to other Tibetan regions, the city has been closely monitored.
