Pricing and Introductory Discounts

The Roadster X pricing begins at Rs 89,999 for the base 2.5 kWh variant, extending up to Rs 1,09,999 for the 4.5 kWh version. The premium Roadster X+ is priced at Rs 1,19,999 for the 4.5 kWh model, while the top-tier 9.1 kWh version costs Rs 1,69,999. As part of an introductory offer, Ola Electric is providing a Rs 15,000 discount on all models, making the vehicles more accessible to early buyers. The motorcycles come with a standard warranty of 3 years or 50,000 km, ensuring peace of mind for customers.

Performance and Range Specifications

The Roadster X models are engineered for different performance levels. The 2.5 kWh variant offers a top speed of 105 km/h, while the 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh variants can reach up to 118 km/h. Range capabilities vary across models:

  • Roadster X (2.5 kWh): 140 km (IDC)

  • Roadster X (3.5 kWh): 196 km (IDC)

  • Roadster X (4.5 kWh): 252 km (IDC)

  • Roadster X+ (4.5 kWh): 252 km (IDC)

  • Roadster X+ (9.1 kWh): 501 km (IDC)

Additionally, the Roadster X+ features three riding modes—Sports, Normal, and Eco—allowing riders to customize their riding experience according to their needs.

During the launch, Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and MD of Ola Electric, emphasized the company’s commitment to making EVs the preferred choice for Indian riders.

“Motorcycles are at the heart of India’s mobility landscape. With our electric motorcycles, we’re driving the EV revolution deeper into the core of Indian mobility. After transforming the scooter market and making EVs mainstream, our futuristic Roadster series of motorcycles is here to accelerate EV adoption further,” said Aggarwal.

Global Debut and Pre-Orders

The Roadster series was first showcased globally in 2024, unveiling Ola Electric’s broader vision for sustainable transportation. The lineup includes three key models:

  • Roadster X (Entry-level model)

  • Roadster (Mid-range variant)

  • Roadster Pro (Flagship model)

Pre-orders for the Roadster X and Roadster X+ have commenced, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-March 2025. Customers can book their motorcycles via Ola Electric’s official website or through its experience centers.

Ola’s Recent Expansion: Gen 3 Scooters

The launch of the Roadster series comes just days after Ola Electric introduced its Gen 3 Scooters. Built on Ola’s indigenous Gen 3 platform, the new S1 Gen 3 series caters to diverse riders with various budget and performance requirements. Pricing for the Gen 3 series starts at Rs 79,999 for the S1 X (2 kWh) model, while the flagship S1 Pro+ (5.3 kWh) is available for Rs 1,69,999.
