News Synopsis

News has emerged that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs will launch a drive named, ‘Building Urban Planning Capacity in India’ so as to develop some 500 ‘Healthy Cities’ and to refurbish town planning acts in many states across the country to urbanize Indian cities and develop urban planning. If this target is to be achieved in the next five years, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs along with the Central government needs to focus on some backward and slum areas lingering at the periphery of urban cities. Urban cities are the powerhouse of the country, we believe they should be developed in such a way that their carbon emission is reduced somehow, it is good to know that the government has taken this into their agenda.

We believe that the gap between urban cities and other small towns should be curtailed and should be bridged by adding more urbanized facilities across the country so that those living in small towns do not miss out on the opportunity to live a better life, be sustainable and have equal opportunities. The Niti Aayog is one of the government’s most trustworthy organizations and if they take up this project seriously, we believe, in no time the citizens will be able to benefit from the urban facilities of housing and sustainability.
