News Synopsis

Ninjacart a fresh produce supply chain startup has acquired a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based communication platform called Tecxprt. All of the staff will now join Ninjacart. However, the company did not disclose the amount at which this acquisition took place. Co-founder and CEO of Ninjacart Thirukumaran Nagarajan, in his statement, said: “We are thrilled to have the Tecxprt team on board. With this acquisition, we will further strengthen our position as a one-stop solution for agri-players, retailers, and small businesses supplying agri commodities across the country.” Ninjacart is backed by Flipkart and Walmart. Ninjacart said that this acquisition will help it by digitizing the operations of the company and facilitating them with real time communication. Ninjacart was founded in 2015 and currently is present in seven cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, and Mumbai. It buys fresh fruits directly from the buyers and supplies them to retailers, hotels, restaurants, etc. Naveen Murugan, founder, and managing director, Tecxprt said: “Our combined workforce and tech capabilities will be a formidable force towards achieving our joint ambitions of accelerating the growth and streamlining of India’s agri-ecosystem.”
