NASA Dart Mission Going To Crash Spacecraft into Asteroids
NASA is going to launch an extraordinary mission to smash the asteroids. The project is launched in order to protect the earth from asteroids. The spacecraft is going to take off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
This spacecraft is the size of a golf cart and will travel around 6 million miles to asteroids to prevent any type of danger for the Earth. Scientists will keep an eye on the asteroids and how it is going to change. Elena Adams, the mission systems engineer, has said that they are keeping a record of the impact on the asteroid of how it reacts to being pushed.
Lindley Johnson, NASA's planetary defense officer has said that the technique could be a part of the toolbox that they are preparing to deflect an asteroid.
