LPG Prices on April 11: Latest Domestic and Commercial Cylinder Rates Across Major Indian Cities

Amid global uncertainties and supply concerns, the Government of India has reassured citizens about uninterrupted LPG availability. While prices have seen fluctuations in recent months, supply levels remain stable across the country, supported by strong distribution efforts from oil marketing companies.

Government Assures Stable LPG Supply

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has confirmed that there is no shortage of LPG cylinders in India despite ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

According to officials, domestic LPG supply continues to function normally, ensuring that households across the country receive uninterrupted service. Authorities have emphasized that logistical systems and inventory levels remain robust enough to meet demand.

Digital Delivery and Booking Efficiency

The government highlighted improvements in delivery systems, with nearly 98% of LPG bookings now being made online. Additionally, around 92% of deliveries are completed using OTP-based verification systems.

This digitisation has streamlined operations, improved transparency, and ensured timely delivery of cylinders to consumers, even during challenging global conditions.

Commercial LPG Supply Prioritisation

While domestic supply remains fully stable, commercial LPG distribution has been gradually restored to about 70% capacity.

Priority is being given to essential sectors, including:

• Hospitals and healthcare facilities
• Educational institutions
• Hotels, restaurants, and roadside eateries (dhabas)
• Labour camps and industrial units
• Pharmaceutical and packaging industries

Current LPG Price Trends in India

Domestic LPG Cylinder Price

The price of a standard 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder currently stands at ₹965. Notably, there has been no change in domestic LPG prices compared to the previous month.

However, over the past year, prices have shown an upward trend. Between May 2025 and April 2026, domestic LPG prices increased by ₹60, with the most significant hike occurring in March 2026.

Commercial LPG Cylinder Price

Commercial LPG cylinders (19 kg) have witnessed sharper increases. Prices rose by ₹144 in March, followed by an additional hike of approximately ₹200 on April 1.

These increases have impacted businesses relying on LPG, particularly in the hospitality and food service sectors.
