News Synopsis

Kawasaki has officially introduced the 2025 Versys 1100 in India, replacing the previous Versys 1000 with a more attractive price tag. Priced at ₹12.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model is approximately ₹1 lakh cheaper than its predecessor, which was last sold for ₹13.91 lakh. The Versys 1100 is an adventure-touring motorcycle equipped with a powerful 1,099cc inline-four engine, designed for long-distance touring.

Competing with Triumph Tiger 1200, Ducati Multistrada V4, and BMW R 1300 GS, the new Kawasaki model comes with modern features like traction control, multiple riding modes, all-LED lighting, and an adjustable windscreen. The bike’s upright seating position and long-travel suspension provide enhanced comfort for extended rides, making it a versatile choice for highway cruising and rugged terrain.

2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Variants and Design

The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 is globally available in three variants:

  • Base

  • S

  • SE

However, for the Indian market, Kawasaki is offering only the Standard variant, which comes in a single paint option – Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray with Metallic Diablo Black.

In terms of design, the new Versys 1100 retains its sharp, muscular fairing and signature twin-LED headlight setup. While the overall styling remains unchanged, Kawasaki has refined the bike’s engineering, adding larger connector pipes and an upgraded radiator to ensure better cooling efficiency.

The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, delivering optimal grip and stability on different road surfaces.

2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Engine and Performance

A major highlight of the 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 is its upgraded engine. The motorcycle now features a 1,099cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder DOHC engine, replacing the older 1,043cc unit. The new powertrain has been enhanced with:

  • Redesigned intake ports for better airflow

  • Revised throttle body for optimized fuel efficiency

  • Cam profile adjustments with reduced valve lift to improve torque delivery

The engine produces 133 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 112 Nm of peak torque at 7,600 rpm, making it a powerful touring companion.

The six-speed return-shift transmission includes a slipper and assist clutch, ensuring smoother gear shifts and preventing rear-wheel lock-up during aggressive downshifting. Additionally, Kawasaki has included:

  • A heavier flywheel to enhance stability

  • A secondary balancer to reduce vibrations

  • An oil cooler for better engine temperature regulation

These refinements contribute to a smoother and more responsive ride.

2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Hardware and Features

Kawasaki has enhanced the braking system in the Versys 1100 for improved control. The motorcycle is now equipped with:

  • Dual 310mm front discs for powerful stopping power

  • A larger 260mm rear disc for better braking efficiency

The suspension system includes:

  • Adjustable inverted front forks for enhanced ride stability

  • A horizontal back-link, gas-charged shock at the rear with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability

With a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres and a dry weight of 235 kg, the Versys 1100 is designed for long-distance touring and everyday rides alike.

2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Tech and Safety Features

The 2025 Versys 1100 is packed with advanced features to enhance riding comfort and safety. Some of the key features include:

  • Electronic Cruise Control – Helps maintain a steady speed on highways

  • All-LED Lighting – Ensures better visibility and energy efficiency

  • Multiple Power Modes – Allows riders to adjust power delivery based on road conditions

  • Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) – Enhances stability and traction control

  • Kawasaki Corner Management Function – Optimizes braking and engine power while cornering

  • Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) – Ensures safer braking performance

  • Handlebar-mounted USB-C outlet – Convenient charging for devices on the go

  • Eco Riding Indicator – Encourages fuel-efficient riding habits

  • Adjustable Windscreen – Provides better wind protection for long rides

With these features, the Versys 1100 offers a seamless touring experience, blending performance, comfort, and technology into one powerful adventure motorcycle.
