Hyundai Alcazar Gets New Variants, DCT Option Now More Budget-Friendly

In a move to broaden its premium SUV’s appeal, Hyundai Motor India has introduced new variants to the Alcazar range. The expansion includes a new mid-level Corporate trim and a more affordable dual-clutch transmission (DCT) option for petrol models, making the Alcazar more feature-rich across a wider price spectrum.

Before this update, the Alcazar was available in four trims—Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature—with prices ranging between Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 21.73 lakh (ex-showroom).

New Corporate Trim Introduced in Diesel Lineup

The most notable update is the addition of the Corporate trim, positioned between the existing Prestige and Platinum variants. This new trim is available only with the 1.5-litre diesel engine and comes with the option of both manual and automatic transmissions.

Key Features of the Corporate Trim:

• Voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, previously limited to top trims

• 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system

• Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

• Wireless phone charging

• Dual-zone automatic climate control

• 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels

• Hyundai BlueLink connected car tech

• Ambient cabin lighting

This new trim aims to bring premium features to a more accessible price point, offering a well-rounded package for customers seeking value without compromising on convenience.

Enhanced Safety in Mid-Level Variants

Hyundai continues to focus on safety with the Corporate variant, offering:

• Six airbags

• Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

• Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC)

• Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)

These features were earlier restricted to higher trims, but Hyundai has now made them available to a wider customer base.

DCT Now Available in Petrol Prestige Trim

Another significant update is the addition of a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox to the petrol-powered Prestige trim. This version is priced at Rs 18.63 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable Alcazar with an automatic transmission.

This move aims to attract buyers who want the ease of an automatic but were earlier limited by budget.

Powertrain Options Remain Unchanged

The Alcazar continues to offer two engine options:

1. 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine

   • Power: 158 bhp

   • Torque: 253 Nm

   • Transmission: 6-speed manual / 7-speed DCT automatic

2. 1.5-litre diesel engine

   • Power: 114 bhp

   • Torque: 250 Nm

   • Transmission: 6-speed manual / 6-speed torque converter automatic

Both engines are BS6-compliant and provide a good balance of power and fuel efficiency, suitable for urban commutes and highway drives alike.
