News Synopsis

Donald Trump's first wife Ivana Trump, has died at the age of 73. "She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman who led a great and inspiring life," Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. Ivana Trump married the former president in 1977, after being born in what is now the Czech Republic. They divorced in 1992, 15 years later. Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump were their three children.

According to the Associated Press, police believe the death was accidental. According to sources, she was discovered unconscious near a staircase at her New York City home and may have fallen. Donald and Ivana Trump were well-known public figures in New York in the 1980s and 1990s, and their divorce was widely publicized.

She went on to launch her own lines of beauty products, clothing, and jewellery after they divorced. In her 2017 memoir Raising Trump, she claimed responsibility for raising their children, claiming that she "made the decisions about their education, activities, travel, child care, and allowances" until they were in college.

She added in the book that her relationship with Mr. Trump had improved since their divorce and that she spoke to him about once a week. In a statement, the Trump family described her as "a business force, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and a caring mother and friend."
