State-owned telecom operator BSNL has announced a special festive offer on its SuperStar Premium WiFi broadband plan, making it significantly more affordable for users. With a reduced monthly cost on annual payment, high-speed internet, generous data limits, and bundled OTT subscriptions, the plan targets users looking for value-packed broadband connectivity.

BSNL Introduces SuperStar Premium WiFi Plan

On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has provided major relief to its customers by reducing the price of its SuperStar Premium WiFi broadband plan. The plan, which earlier cost ₹999 per month, is now available at an effective price of ₹799 per month when users opt for a full-year advance payment. This translates to a direct saving of nearly 20 percent, along with high-speed internet and OTT subscriptions.

What Is BSNL’s New Festive Offer?

BSNL shared details of this festive offer through its official social media handle on X. According to the company, customers who book the SuperStar Premium WiFi plan for 12 months in one go will benefit from the reduced monthly pricing. With annual payment, the plan is activated at ₹799 per month instead of ₹999. This offer is especially aimed at users who require high data usage and fast internet speeds.

Internet Speed and Data Benefits

One of the biggest highlights of this broadband plan is its speed and data allowance. BSNL offers ultra-fast internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps under this plan, suitable for online streaming, work-from-home, video conferencing, and gaming. Users also get a massive 5000GB (5TB) of high-speed data per month, which is more than sufficient for most households.

Understanding the Fair Usage Policy (FUP)

The SuperStar Premium WiFi plan comes with a Fair Usage Policy. Once a user exhausts the monthly 5000GB high-speed data limit, the internet speed is reduced to 10 Mbps. However, data usage remains unlimited even after the speed reduction, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity. The plan also includes unlimited local and STD voice calling to any network.

Total Cost and Security Deposit Details

To activate the plan, customers need to pay a refundable security deposit of ₹1,500, which is returned when the connection is discontinued. It is important to note that the ₹799 monthly price does not include GST, so the final bill amount will be slightly higher after taxes. Despite this, the plan is still considered more affordable compared to private broadband providers.
