The event was officially inaugurated by Satish Kumar Sivan, the Consul General of India to the UAE. With the advantages offered by the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which removes the 5% import duty on Ready Made Garments (RMG), Indian brands now have a competitive advantage in the MENA region, boosting India’s market position alongside international apparel giants.

Indian apparel manufacturers stand out for their cost-effective labor, flexibility to meet small order requirements at competitive prices, and decades of experience in white-label manufacturing for internationally renowned brands. Indian manufacturers are well-regarded for their timely deliveries, which are efficiently supported by strong logistics infrastructure. As a representative body with over 5,000 members and partnerships with more than 25,000 retailers across India, Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) has been instrumental in promoting this trade show, aiming to attract buyers from over 60 countries to explore partnerships and sourcing opportunities.
