BPCL and Microsoft Enter a Strategic Cloud Partnership

News Synopsis

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Microsoft have entered into a strategic cloud partnership aimed at accelerating the company's digital transformation and driving innovation in the oil and gas industry.

According to a joint statement by both the companies, The partnership seeks to unlock new opportunities that Microsoft’s cloud provides to address the unique challenges of the oil and gas sector, enabling BPCL to increase the modernization of its architecture, which will enhance and redefine the customer experience.

As part of a seven-year collaboration, Microsoft will provide Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS), Platform as a Service (PAAS), and Network and Security Services in the Cloud. This includes Azure Datafactory's native  Azure service, the Internet of Things (IoT), and analysis.

With privacy at its core, Microsoft's secure cloud platform provides intelligence to drive BPCL's cloud transformation, transform operations, build smarter supply chains, and increase customer engagement.

Both the companies have been working closely to provide a secure collaboration experience for BPCL’s employee ecosystem across the country, with Microsoft teams and a workplace productivity suite.
