News Synopsis

Apple has released an iOS 15.2 update with new features. It is the first major update to iPhone since iOS 15.1 in October. The update includes a new feature, Record App Activity. The feature is available in the privacy settings and gives a summary of the data and internet access by the applications on a device.

The update also includes other new features like Auto Call and Legacy Contacts. By holding the side button together with the volume button or rapidly pressing the side button multiple times, you can make an emergency call with Auto Call. Through Legacy Contacts, a user can decide on who will get access to his Apple ID once the user passes away. The designated person can access the whole account including photos, notes, messages, backups, and more. The update also includes Apple Music Voice Plan support and a new option in Find My App for “Items that can Track Me.”
