Amazon Launches Fulfilment Centre Tours in India

News Synopsis
Amazon has announced that it will soon open the doors of its smart fulfilment centres (FCs) in India to the public. Starting later this year, in-person guided tours will be available at its Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru facilities, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the inner workings of its logistics operations. This marks the first time Amazon is launching its "Amazon Tours" initiative in India.
Amazon Tours to Begin in India by End of 2025
The company confirmed that Amazon Tours in India will begin in the October to December quarter of 2025. The tours will be free of cost and last approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Each visit will offer a first-hand look at how Amazon processes customer orders—from picking, packing, to shipping—inside its advanced fulfilment centres.
These immersive tours have previously been available in countries like the US, UK, Canada, Italy, Germany, and France. Globally, the initiative has already attracted around 2 million visitors since its launch in 2014, according to Nick Boone-Lutz, Head of Amazon's Public Tours Program.
Tour Locations: Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru Centres
In India, the tours will be hosted at two of Amazon’s major fulfilment hubs:
-
Delhi-NCR FC: The largest warehouse in North India, covering 450,000 square feet
-
Bengaluru FC: Amazon’s largest fulfilment centre in India, offering over 2 million cubic feet of storage
Each site will host tours three times a week, with a maximum of 20 participants per session. Interested individuals will be able to register online later this year through Amazon’s official website.
Inside the Experience: What Visitors Can Expect
According to Amazon, the tours are designed to give participants a behind-the-scenes view of its cutting-edge logistics infrastructure, showcasing how people and technology work in tandem. Visitors will learn how millions of customer orders are efficiently processed, packed, and dispatched from the company’s facilities.
“These tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the technology and people working together to deliver for our customers every day,” said Abhinav Singh, VP of Operations for Amazon India and Australia.
The experience also aims to help the public understand the scale, efficiency, and sustainability efforts behind Amazon's delivery network.

India is among several new countries where Amazon Tours will be launched in 2025. Others include:
-
Mexico

This global rollout highlights Amazon’s efforts to boost transparency, engagement, and public awareness about its logistics operations.
Investing ₹2,000 Crore to Strengthen India Operations
As part of its ongoing expansion in India, Amazon is investing around ₹2,000 crore to scale up its logistics and fulfilment network. The focus is on speeding up delivery times, increasing storage capacity, and improving customer experience across urban and tier-2 cities.
In preparation for Prime Day 2025, scheduled for the second week of July, Amazon has also launched five new smart warehouses in:
-

These additions are expected to significantly boost same-day and next-day delivery capabilities.
What This Means for Prime Members
With the Prime Day 2025 sale approaching, Amazon is ensuring faster deliveries for Prime subscribers.
“Prime members can look forward to even faster deliveries, with lakhs of items available for same-day or next-day delivery,” said Singh.
The company’s continued investment in logistics will not only support big-sale events like Prime Day but also ensure consistent delivery performance year-round.
