News Synopsis

Amidst the harassment charges raised by Ankiti Bose, the founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Singapore-based Zilingo, the company has hired the professional services firm Deloitte to investigate the harassment charges. This has been confirmed by multiple sources aware of the matter.

On Friday, Deloitte requested a meeting with Bose and asked her to send any relevant documents or evidence she might be having with herself regarding the allegations. On Wednesday, as the scuffle between Bose and the Board of Company intensifies, Dhruv Kapoor, the business-to-business fashion e-commerce platform’s co-founder, wrote to the employees of the company and addressed allegations of harassment and toxic work culture surrounding the company.

Mr. Kapoor, in a statement, said, “You may have heard that there is an allegation made that certain individuals at Zilingo 'suppressed' complaints of harassment. We've always had a culture that does not tolerate sexual harassment, workplace harassment, bullying, or intimidation … In rare cases when workplace issues were reported, we've always followed due process and taken strict action.” Bose was suspended by Zilingo after discrepancies were discovered in its accounting during a due-diligence process for a new funding round.
