News Synopsis

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine doesn’t seem to cool off anytime soon. Despite severe economic sanctions and restrictions from global companies, Russia is rapidly advancing to the extreme parts of the Ukrainian Territory and establishing its control over it. Global organizations and companies have pledged to support Ukraine in such dangerous times. Elon Musk’s Starlink Satellite Services is providing internet connection to the civilians of Ukraine. This has connected them to the rest of the world. However, now there are reports that Ukraine has been hit by a digital strike. Youtube and google services are down in the country. The Russian government’s media houses have informed that the civilians of Ukraine are not able to access Youtube and Gmail. Google services are completely unavailable in the country. Several Tech Giants have earlier restricted state backed Russian media houses to use their platforms. Recently French designer brands have also stopped their operations in Russia. Russia under the leadership of its President Vladimir Putin doesn’t seem to be bothered by these sanctions and has reportedly captured the Ukrainian city of Kherson and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was also captured by the Russian forces in the last few days.
